At Best Dental, we offer $99 exams, x-rays, and basic cleanings. Most basic cleanings are covered by insurance, so if you do have dental insurance, you may be in luck. Dr. Jasmine Naderi will first perform a comprehensive exam at your first visit. Regular check ups are usually seen every 6 months where you will receive:
- Diagnostic x-rays: This is for the detection of cavities, bone loss, and possible signs of tumors.
- Oral Cancer screening: Your entire oral cavity is checked for any potential signs of oral cancer.
- Gum disease evaluation: Check for any potential gum disease

How much is an exam and cleaning?
At Best Dental, for a comprehensive examination, x-rays, and basic cleaning we charge $99. There will be some people who will need more than a basic cleaning based multiple factors that will be seen during the exam. If a more thorough cleaning is necessary we will notify you during your consultation appointment.
How much are your exam and cleanings without insurance?
Again our price is $99. With dental insurance, the price may be even less depending on your plan. During your consultation appointment, we will tell you exactly how much your our of pocket expense will be if you have dental insurance.
How long does a dental exam take?
This question is relative. if you have a more complicated case where a lot of dental work is required, your consultation appointment will take longer as we will need to diagnose, and let you know exactly what needs to be done to bring you back to a great level of oral health. Simple recall examinations, and patients with little to no dental work required will need to put about an hour of their time away once they reach our office.
Does a dental cleaning hurt?
Not at all. Some teeth may be a little sensitive during your basic cleaning, but pain should be next to zero. If you are having any discomfort during your cleaning procedure, please let one of our staff members or Dr. Jasmine know.
Does a dental cleaning damage enamel?
If does not damage enamel. Instruments have been specially designed to only remove the plaque and tartar off your tooth structure and not to hurt any part of your actual tooth.

Is a dental cleaning safe during pregnancy?
A basic cleaning is absolutely safe during pregnancy. There have no links in the science community that has linked basic dental cleanings with any form of troubled pregnancies including miscarriages.
Does a dental cleaning loosen teeth?
No they do not. Teeth that are being held together by calculus may feel more loose after the tartar has been removed from the teeth. These teeth were not healthy to begin with, and during your consultation appointment, it will be pointed out that these teeth may feel more loose after your dental cleaning. Replacement options will be discussed before any treatment is rendered.
Can a dental cleaning cause tooth sensitivity?
If calculus was covering certain parts of your tooth, once removed, that area of your tooth may become sensitive for a short period of time. Desensitizing toothpastes will be recommended after your procedure if this turns out to be the case.
